It's been almost 3 years since anyone wrote about this Restaurant, so thought of adding my review to give you the latest updates.
I had been to Dara's around a month back and was surprised to see the place as they have converted almost into a Hotel.
Will try to keep short and simple.
1. Ambience: Huge space. Open space specially towards behind is nice as it gives you a chance to explore your tongue in a traditional way. Place is surrounded by trees and plants so it gives a nice feeling.
2. Food quality: Better than other restaurants. Go for punjabi food (obvious) as its prepared fresh with a pinch of masalas and salt. Lassi / Jaljeera gives you a extra does of freshness to your tongue. Also they have a variety of icecreams which can be tried out.
Non-veg seems to be better though I have not tried. Hard drinks served too for the booz goers.
3. Serving time: Depends on the day/time. Normally served in around 20 minutes.
4. Waiters: Formally dressed which you won't find in many places. Polite and courteous.
5. Rates: Rates are on a higher end compared to other restaurants. Might go high to around 20 % almost on all items.
6. Approach to hotel: Since its little out of the city limits, it gives you a different feeling. Also peaceful location though you might be disturbed by the vehicles running parallel on the highways.
Other Points:
You would find many families and childrens visiting this place.
Since it's located beyond Dahisar ( approx 3 kms from Dahisar check naka) on the highway it might be inconvenient to visit.
In all, it can be tried once with family, friends and large groups.
