Had visited Dandeli recently in January 2015 and it was amazing experience with friends. Dandeli has an amazing wild life(Tiger reserve). We stayed at row house in the jungle.To book a place in dandeli, I would suggest first reach Dandeli…once you’re in the city u have a common travel agent available there where he does your bookings as per your requirements/plan/stay and is reasonable enough as well
Things to do once you’re in Dandeli
1) Tiger Safari in open Jeep(450 per person… its totally on ur luck to see a tiger in wild, but if u spot one u won’t leave. Hahaha the feeling is amazing.
2) Watch live crocodiles in wild… You will get to see this near a Shiva Temple… at kali river.
3) River rafting is rated number 2 in India… You can’t miss this at all.
4) Do NOT roam around in the nights on ur own as it is risky with wild animals around.
Best time to visit dandeli is in the rains…. Greenery everywhere and more chance to spot wild animals
