Briliant DANCE! . Review on Dance India Dance

LUX DANCE INDIA DANCE on ZEE TV is a dance based reality show, where 18 contestant from different cities of INDIA are selected after various auditions, where in they impressed the judges with their style and talent in DANCE.

They had auditions in MUMBAI, DELHI, AHEMDABAD and CALCUTTA, where people came in to showcase their dancing abilities and eventually got selected.100 contestant were selected which was reduced to the final 18, by the judges and the GRAND MASTER.

This is the first season of DANCE INDIA DANCE(DID)and its a brilliant show so far because of its novelty and freshness, because the contestant who are participating are newcomers and not some representative celebrities whom we are so bored of and who have nothing new to offer.

So its a show where people are selected from places where you could never reach to see their talent so its a chance for all those people who have the flair and capability to dance , which is such a beautiful art but so ignored, they get the big platform to show their dance also learn different form of dance from the choreographers.

CONCEPT...is that there are the 18 finalist who have been put in three groups, led by the three chereographers and there are 6 participant each in the group.All the participants are trained by their respective chereographers and they present their dances, which is judged by the three chereographers and also THE GRAND MASTER, MITHUN CHAKROVORTHY.

Then two contestant who performed the weakest is selected, from each group and the contestant have to give solo performance the next day and finally the GRAND MASTER eliminates two contestant whom he feelS is very weak.

CONTESTANT......... a treat to watch.A bunch of some very fine dancers who put in their best to prove their talents.Some of them are from very small cities and towns but its so good to see that talent is not bound by a persons place of living.I'ld say DID is one of the best reality show I have seen probably after saregamapa, where we are truly seeing talent and nothing else..

The 18 contestant which were selected are SIDDESH PAI, MOHAMMAD GHOUSE called SALMAN KHAN on the show, KHUSBOO and BHAVNAPUROHIT, MANDAKINI, VAISHALI, ALISHA, JAI, MAYURESH, NONNI.SUNITA, PRINVE, MANGESH, JIGAR, SHOBO DAS, RAKHI.The first contestant that was eliminated I don't remember the name.Recently there was wild card round where some participants were given another chance to perform, so they will be selected in today's show.

Three wildcard participants will be selected and nine contestant WHO are left so FAR, after wild card contestant being selected there will be total of twelve who will be competing.There have already been some great performances by the contestant and my favourite contestant are SIDDESH PAI, MANGESH, PRINCE, SALMAN, THEY ARE REALLY GOOD........KHUSBOO and BHAVNA are good too.Most of them are natural dancers that is why I like them.......

CHEREOGRAPHERS....are really good, TERRANCE LEWIS who is a bollywood and an international chereographer, REMO who is a bollywood cheographer and GEETA KAPOOR who is also a bollywood chereographer.Remo choreographed the song SINGH IS KINGH.All of them are pretty good at their job and I find their judging very honest, no frills or showoff, very understated and straight style of judging and also very good at their jobs.MITHUN CHAKRAVORTHY as the GRAND MASTER is also fairly good and entertaining .Also the good thing about this show is that their is no voting.

ANCHORS ...JAY BHANUSHALI and SAUMYA TONDON are doing a good job, natural and not at all artificial like the other show host. GREAT PERFORMANCES TILL NOW.....their were some absolutely brilliant performances during the audition, but when the main contest started my favourite performances are DELHI 6(title song), AZEEMO SHAAN, one TAMIL SONG performance, SALSA ON ARE JA RE NATKHAT, KAL HO NA HO, O SAAYA, TU HI TO MERI DOST HAI, KABHI KABHI ADDITI, JAI HANUMAN GYAN GUN SAAGAR, TAARE ZAMEEN PAR, CHANDA RE, BHEEGI BHEEGI si are some of the really great performances.

The winner is going to take away a cash price of RS 50 LAKHS and also will get to perforn in a BOLLYWOOD FILM....and I am sure the competition is going to get tough and exciting. as the competition gets tough ...I am expecting some fireworks on the stage in the coming weeks.Its a brilliant show, very unique, i get to see various dance forms, learn about them, superb contestant...

And comparatively a less filmy show, is more performance driven than any dramebazzi.The judgement is fair too..The only thing I don't like about the show and I am sure they can also do without making those female participants were those cheap and vulgar dresses, it makes it difficult for family viewing, its a dance show and not a film show so the participants can wear decent dresses.

Also the elimination procedure sucks as two participants are eliminated every week which gives very little time to the viewer to get familiar with some of them so I hope that only one participant will be eliminated from now on so that we as audience will get to know and be familiar with them more and they will also get more chances and scope to perform.

DANCE INDIA DANCE AIRS ON FRI AND SATURDAY 9:30 PM and SUNDAY 1 PM IN THE AFTERNOON ON ZEE TV.WATCH IT IF YOU HAVE NOT STILL......Its a great show.I would want either SIDDESH or MANGESH TO WIN.................
