I purchased Daikin's split AC on OCT 2022 and it was working fine for almost a year and then I started facing cooling issues and raised a complaint for the same. Mechanic/Engineer checked the AC and informed me that there is a major leakage in AC's indoor unit and it would cost more than INR. 5000 to fix the issue and this will not be covered in the warenty.
Firstly I purchased Daikin's AC with word of mouth of my friends who use Daikin ACs and I was hoping to have a good experience in terms of quality of the product but I'm deeply saddened to know that the product has not withstood just 1.5 years of usage.
I had this issue intermittently and I informed my dealer to check but engineer never showed up.
Also from my experience and engineer's (who diagnosed this issue) advise when a leakage is arrested in an indoor unit, it would cause further more leakages in the coil causing replacement of coil.
When I reached the dealer or the service vendor I was told that warenty would not come into account if the issue has happened just 1 day post completion of warranty which is totally unacceptable.
I was also informed that this issue would happen in the places where chemical water is stagnant/flows by. But neither is the case in my scenario. Even one of the representative of dealership suggested me to use another product of Daikin if incase my home is surrounded by chemical water and this was never communicated to me by your sales representative during the time of purchase just in case.
