This review is for the window AC owners who are planning to install split AC. I am sharing my experience, which will help your decision.
The window AC setup is a handy one to replace with new windows upgrade AC. Thus it is 10min installation. For Split AC unless the coper insulation wiring and the water outlet pipe are already part of the electrical fitiing of the house, it is going to be exposed wiring which may look ugly on long walls. Also teh charges of teh copper pipe is INR 850/- per meter which will be exporbitant while you want to install in the compressor at a distance.
Important points to keep in watch.
1/ compressor position should be first determined to ensure shortest wiring.
2/ choose a small wall for mounting as long wall with exposed wires will look bad
3/ water outlet should be positioned such a way that the water floes into the sink or washroom or balcony outlet so that buckets are not to be placed and emptied every now and then.
