I have a 99 model GLX. though the performance of the car was okay, still due to mileage issues, I put a lpg kit into my car. Barring the first 2-3 highway drives I felt loss of the old driving experience( especially longer self start and loss of power during up slopes). Then somebody in Bangalore suggested me to put a diesel engine. I got an old diesel engine from Chennai last year but I think it has also lived its life.
I am actually going in for a new car (diesel as I am fond of very long drives), but love for this dream machine is stopping me to sell it off. can somebody out there suggest me what are the alternatives for putting in a new diesel engine in my excellently maintained cielo chassis? which automaker/ car is based on the same platform???
