Thanks to Mouthshut.com., Godrej read my review posted a couple of months before, which was joined by many Mouthshut.com. members, the Senior Service Manager in Chennai called me and promised to get my DVD Player rectified. Their Service team was courteous and only after fixing an appointment with me lest I get disturbed, (this they faithfully followed every time of their visit) they took my unit to their serive centre and delivered back at home. When I complained of some fault , they took it back again and delivered at home, duly rectified and after keeping the unit with them for a few days under observation.
Godrej Service manager took upon himself as an assignment and did it at absolutely at Godrej's cost. I thanked him because Godrej was off this product line last year itself and normally under these circumstances, the company would ask the customers to fend themselves as they do not keep any spares or would not be able to handle such service, as it happened with me in the case of a Siemens Moblie.
Since I was hospitalized due some puerperal effusion pursuant to Andgio Plasty, I could not post my comments earlier.
Kudos to Godrej and its Chennai Service team.
