About twoo weeks ago I had the misfortune of dealing with DTDC couriers. First it was a 60th Marriage anniversary gift parcel to my inlaws at Pune. Another was a document
cover sent to Bangalore Nilamangala. The Pune parcel took 5 days for delivery after my repeated [socalled] tracking and phoning up. Similarly Bangalore cover took just 7 days
or so. Perhaps If I had started off on a Cycle or moped I could have reached earlie r, these destinations.
The envelopes contain my mobile and receipient's numbers.Despite this
no action to inform me about delay etc., They have a computerised tracking system where in they record the delivery date in a hazy or wrong way. The charges are heavy and they shouldhave given a ring to me in case they have any problem whatsoever. We
are ready to pay such incidental expenses if only they had acted responsibly. Earlier on three occasions with other Courier companies we had the same type of bitter experience.
In one instance the Franchisee fellow at Pune asked [directed?] my aged parents in law
to reach their Office to collect the item sent by me from Chennai.
Be careful while dealing with such courier companies. I had claimed
refund of money through Emails but no response so far.
