I couriered a package from Bangalore on 25th Oct 07 to be delivered in Bombay on 26th or 27th. The website shows its Out For Delivery in Bombay on 26th Oct. Today is 1st November, 6 days since then. I have been trying to call up the main office since today evening when I found out that the intended receiver did not receive the birthday gift AT ALL. No one is answering the main office. The regional office in Goregaon - people are answering but giving updates like Package On The Way Back To Sender because of ridiculous reasons like Address Not Found.
I have sent packages to the same address in Malad(W) through DTDC in the past - how come those went through? And the service on the phone? Shifty to say the least. No one is willing to give me their name - when asked, they gave some mobile number that can't be reached. They hang up in the middle of conversation, refuse to give out their names or mobile numbers, everyone who comes online to talk says his name is Subhash, the list goes on. after repeated follow-ups, I was given some manager Dinesh's mobile number who told me to call back the office.
Now those jerks are not picking up the phone. The courier cost Rs.300 - and its 6 days overdue - would expect a little more professionalism from these morons. But no, any expectation of immediate resolution is met with a nonchalant no-we-can't-do-anything-today-come-back-tomorrow response. Do NOT use DTDC!
