Such a pathetic courier service

Recently, we had a really bad experience with DTDC courier service near Forum mall, Adugodi. We had an item to return back to Myntra, one of the leading e-commerce sites. As my location was not serviceable for pick up, we had no other option than to do self-courier. Since, we were near Forum for some other work, we decided to courier our package through any of the nearest DTDC branch in that location.


Soon after we entered the DTDC office, the first thing we saw was a lady busily chatting over the phone. Though she hung up the phone, she wasn't paying much attention to us. Also, she was damn slow in her work. Even to fill up something as simple as an acknowledgement receipt, she kept us waiting unnecessarily.


Anyway, once the job was done we happily exited that place. However, real headache started  three days later when we checked the status of our courier. We were surprised to see that the status was updated as “In transit”.Taking three days for delivering a courier in the same city itself is a little too much to accept . When we tried calling her, she told us that the status was wrongly updated and that the correct status would be updated on the same day itself.


However, even after waiting for another couple of days, there was no change in the status. When we called her up again, she gave us the same excuse saying that my courier has been rightly delivered. I requested her to at least update the correct status because otherwise I didn't have any other proof to show that I had couriered/returned the item. She instead gave me three to four land-line numbers and asked me to contact them. And when I tried ringing on those numbers, all I got to hear was the same message “ This number does not exist”


Anyway, thankfully after ten days I finally got a mail from the concerned department of Myntra saying that they have received my return item. And when I checked the DTDC website, the status of my courier was also finally updated properly.


Hereafter, I'd definitely avoid using the services of DTDC-Adugodi, considering the unnecessary trouble we had to go through even for a local delivery. Also, I'd advise people to think twice or thrice before deciding to use any of their services in future.
