DTDC is the worst courier service in India.
Although this is the courier service having branches in almost all cities and towns of India. But, this fraud courier company cheated many Indians.
It is true crime like stealing items from someone home, shop where police arrest the thieves But, my question to LAW - Why NOT arresting CEO / Managing Director of this type of fraudsters?
There is valid point in my argument.
If anyone using any service, it is responsibility of that company. Here responsibility of DTDC courier is to deliver the parcel 100% safely to the customer. Because customers are paying them. ONLY because of the customers they are living here.
In case parcel or document is lost. As per the seriousness of the parcel, they should refund 200% of the value of the parcel.
But, that does not happen here. They even do not compensate 100%
Apart from courier charges, if you are sending electronic items like Mobile phone, they will also ask you to pay heavy courier charges. For example Rs.10, 000 value mobile phone, they charge around Rs.300+ 200 for insurance. That around Rs.500 which is just unbelievable. If you shop on any website, any reputed website on net like Flipkart, Amazon, Ebay etc. No seller charge you more than Rs.55 for shipping. But, seller, new sellers who do not have bulk account with ecommerce sites MUST pay this much to DTDC, if not they will not book courier under safe delivery. Even for individual who book any parcel.
But, important point comes here. Even after you pay this much amount which is almost 10 folds of normal charges. If parcel is lost, they do not pay insurance amount instantly to the seller/ individual who book. They play with you asking for bill etc and pay you after 30 days or more. As per the insurance they must have paid immediately along with compensation.
But, it does not happen here at DTDC fraud couriers.
If customer send normal item like wallet etc without insurance, if parcel is lost, they will not pay anything. Not eve return the courier charges.
But, as individual or small seller you cannot do anything. Only because worst law system in India for courier.
But, today I face another strange issue. I purchase item from eBay.
Seller sent using DTDC courier from Delhi to Hyderabad.
Parcel booked on 2nd Dec, 2015 and on 4th Dec, 2015 it shows PARCEL DELIVERED to Security guard.
Here there is no security guard. Not showing any status of local office SPR hills.
Simply showing status to Banjara hills - without getting to deliver office in the locality. Showing fake message as delivered on their tracking site.
So, already spoke with few people and also sent email to DTDC. But, pathetic fellows even on 2nd day did not respond to the email.
Unless government make strong rules to arrest and punish owners of this kind of fraudulent couriers, they cheat thousands of people.
Many of my friends, colleagues told me, for normal parcels they even got partial items. That means DTDC is even stealing items from Parcels.
So, BEWARE of DTDC
