DTDC is easily the worst courier'dis'service company ever.
Here's my tale of harassment by the company:
Note: For security reasons, I would not wish to reveal the specifics.
A couple of months back, I had made some purchases online and was to receive them within 10 days. DTDC picked up the goods, kept it in the ware-house for a week(which is just 8 km from my place) and returned it back saying I was staying out-of-delivery area. When I offered to pick it up from wherever their location was, they even refused that. Due to this, my consignment got cancelled and was never delivered by the product company!
A couple of months later, I am going through a similar experience with them. This time, when I made some more online purchases and found that DTDC was going to be responsible for making the delivery, I prepared myself for the worst! I gave my colleague's address for making the delivery as he stayed at a more'deliverable location'.
As per the details on their tracking site, here is the progress done so far:
June-14: Consignment dispatched from Original location to my city, about 150 km away.
June-16: The courier reached my city on June-16th morning. However, till end of day, there was no progress in the state whatsoever. I called them up, and was super-lucky to have got someone to actually pick up the phone. She said it just arrived today and will be delivered by tomorrow noon.
June-17: Started trying their number since 3 p.m but nobody picked up the phone. I tried different centers but no luck! I then sent a mail to the customtakeouter care e-mail id and my mail was forwarded to someone else with me copied in cc. Now, I followed up on that as well but got no response.
June-18: I called the customtakeouter service and luckily got through. It must be my lucky day!;-)
I gave the lady the tracking number and she gave my another number to call. I called the number and voila(!), even that number was answered. There was this guy I tried giving my tracking number to FIVE TIMES, but even then he didn't get it right. I got frustrated even more when that @#$%^&* told me to call customtakeouter care & immediately hung up on me!
I then tried calling the original customtakeouter care number several times, but no response there. My luck had apparently finally run out for the day!
I am totally frustrated & still awaiting the delivery of the consignment!
Please do not use their service. DTDC is unfit to be in the courier business. If there is someone who can let me know whom to write to have their courier licence revoked/cancelled, let me know. I would be the first to appeal for it.
EDIT(Jun-25): I am still running from pillar to post to get my consignment. I have dropped a mail to DTDC with all possible e-mail ids copied. I have also made a complaint with the consignor regarding the tardy service provided. I am still calling all concerned parties on a daily basis with no response.
At the end of the day, I have still not received my delivery, which is a shame.
