Through Just dial I got a pest control service in Chennai (DH Pest control); in this field also there are service providers asking you to pay for annual maintenance and they will take care of your house/shop etc. they will visit the place periodically and using their pesticides, they will help us to avoid insects in these places.

I chose this service provider who charged Rs.750 and guaranteed for 6 months; after their service, if the pest problem still exists, they will visit again and till the problem is resolved they, will keep applying different chemicals; the logic is that different insects have different pesticides.

their service was good till the sales part; after the first visit, I still had the same old pests problem at home; they came after a week since I followed them regularly; I had to make arrangements like moving my family (new born baby and other boy of 3 yrs) to neighbour's hose etc. but, these ppl came on their own and not as per the time they said; they applied the chemical again; after few days, I had the same problem; regular follow up (hide and seek game) continued for 10 days; they will say "sir! tomorrow morning 11, our service man will be there at your home Sir!! but, no body will come; finally they came after 10 days; this time they applied with extra chemicals so that the effect will be more; this really resulted in longivity. I got the problem only after a month; then, the same hide and seek game started for 20 days; then they came and tried with chemical combination which failed the very next day;

finally, my understanding is that they are not doing any analysis and finalizing the chemical; simply it was trial and error method and then the experience or chemical dealers' advice; then, I became tired in calling them which is again useless; I myself started hunting for these chemical dealers; from Just dial, I got Dorairajulu Chetty Chemical Depot which is in kothaval savadi; from here, I bought FOE which really worked out; I took a sample and tested; then, I bought 2 ltrs and continuing now; since this is a whole sale shop, the rate also is really cheap; I also got bleaching powder and compound phynile (buy 1 litre and make 20 ltrs of phynyl at home; just by mixing water as per guidance); from these chemical dealers only, the service providers buy the chemicals and serving the customer;

so, as usual the service provider was really good till the first sales; then I experienced the bad and now no service at all; they failed miserably against the insects of my house; they also will come to this kind of 2nd or 3 rd time services only when they have a new customer in neigbouring areas;

hence, if you CAN, directly go and buy from these dealers or pay half of the money to service providers and pay the rest only at the end of service warranty period;
