Teaching in DAV pune is a dangerous proposition! Think before joining. This is a good school name with bad management!'Bad' word is actually a smaller dose to express the way the Management works!
On the name of a "Panel interview" they practically do any and every thing suitable for themselves! They just check out teachers in the mid of the term or even in 1 or 2 months of appointing them. The management, which primarily comprises of a Principal who is seemingly a lady out of the hindi movie- Chalk & Duster, is a very poor personality with whom a person can work. Politics is what she is good at.
The'Management' recently checked out old teachers after they were re-inducted into the new session, that too after 2 months of the start of new session. Had they been told that they were not selected, they could have gone to some other school. This is seemingly a very common practice in DAV Pune. You will never get to the position of a permanent teacher as every year their recruitment'policies' change. They themselves are so jittery in nature. The planning is very very poor. Teachers who become'Permanent" get a feeling of a typical Provident Fund office personnel or an RTO personnel or PMC personnel. There is no team sense in the school. The co-ordinators or the assistant co-ordinators are the typical "king makers" who have the only qualification of being in the school for years together. Performance of a teacher is the least cared for years. Hence teachers are very casual.
If any one of you wish to join DAV Pune as a teacher, be extremely sure that you would never come into the pay scale grade, as initially they will tell 1 year, then by the time the year is over they will tell 2 years+CTET pass, then they will tell 3 years+ CTET+ Masters degree and so on
Recently there was a case where few teachers were taken and after they served for 3 months as teachers, they were asked to reappear for the interview for the same position as'now' they had applicants in hand to compete. What a cowardly thing to do. No botheration for even senior teachers or their careers. How will such teachers shape the kids future? There have been court cases put up against the management and the school has lost it too. There are atleast 3 cases by the teachers in the pipeline now for the atrocities committed by the management on the teachers.
