To Women: Take it or Leave it?. Review on Cruelty Against Women

I hate the fact that Cruelty on women really do exist in our society. In each and every part of the world, in all the Countries and its states, abuse on women happens. This is one reality that we can never deny eventhough ignored most of the time. I hate it, it sucks!

Why is it everytime a woman is being abused verbally, no one cares? Or when a wife is attacked and physically abused by her husband, no one tries to meddle and protect the girl? Some would even say, its normal in a married life.

There were even some countries where women are being discriminated from men, as if it’s only the men who has the right for everything that this world has to offer. Do you think its fair? I don't think so! This isn’t about who’s-the-best, -men-or-women thing. This is about women who’s supposed to be treated correctly and respectfully! Men always claim that they can do better- as they are much more "stronger and well-skilled" compared to the delicate "women."

Okay girls, lets not rebot on that issue. Lets give way and leave them that "title."

Given that you men are better than us and much more stronger, dont you think  you must use your so-called advantages to protect us, the women? Instead of being cruel, harsh and abusive, why not try acting like a gentleman? Instead of being unfaithful to your partner, why not love her and stick to her like a real man does? Remember the vow and the promises and the sweet nothings you assured your partner during the peak of your relationship? Why not live with it and prove that you are a man of your words.

To those people in the society who keeps on judging girls for wearing makeups and dressing a somewhat sexy modern clothes, why not just mind your own business and live on a clean slate? Who knows, maybe one day the girl you have judged is the one you’re gonna run to when the whole world turned its back on you.

There was an article I read in Cosmopolitan way back in 2003 and they stated that, Women are said to be the root of all evils. Why? because women is a symbol of sexuality and fantasy according to them. We cant blame if others see it that way though, considering that there are some women nowadays who seem to have lost their way and pose for some magazines for some "perverts" and chose to abuse themselves(sorry for the term, but thats how I see it.) Its uncontrollable, inevitable and unstoppable in our society. But its cruel because other women suffer. Because of these materials, men becomes unfaithful to their partners- may not be physically but mentally for sure. not fair at all.

During my Mass Communication days in College, our professor assigned us in one district here in our City to conduct an interview on each married women covered by the district. We were asked to get the statistics of the women being abused in any way by their husbands. We came to know that out of 168 women our group has surveyed, only 6 were happily married with no regrets and were taken good care of by their husbands, not even an instance that their husband abused them verbally. I bet they’re lucky.

The rest were either abused physically, mentally, emotionally and verbally. We asked these women, especially those who were physically abused, if there was even a time when they had the courage to report the incident. I was surprised to find out that among them, only 2 reported their husbands to the authorities. Much more surprising, nothing happened with the case because they had forgiven their husbands the next day.

Why do you think did I write this particular blog? Simply because it exist and It will always be there unless we do something to stop or at least lessen this kind of problem.

And dont dare be pessimistic about this especially to all my fellow women outthere. We can stop this if all of us will have our own stand to fight for our rights and have the courage to leave the things that’s not healthy for our being. Always remember that cooperation and unity reigns all the time as its a mass agreement on one belief.

So girls, wake up! Think! Reflect on your life! Are we gonna let these cruel things overpower our dignity and our real worth? Are we gonna let other people take advantage of our kindness, which for them is our weakness?

We may not be born with a man’s strength and capabilities as its not really meant for us and dont think of it as a disadvantage. In fact, we were born much luckier than them. We are born like precious gems- so delicately beautiful, stunning, unique and sensitive. Which deserves lots of attention, love and care. We are the gems of this era, gems so precious and priceless. And we shine wherever life may lead us. There’s just a permanent aura in us that can never be taken away, cant even be replaced or stealed. We are simply irresistible.

We are always needed by men and in our society. We play an important rolemore than anything. We have an essence that men can never posses- We bear children and men came from us. However men would react that it wont be possible without them, its still the women who carries the pain and joy for 9 months. And as we deliver our little angels in the real world, half of our body is already 6 feet below the ground. Yes, mothers are naturally born heroines.

*So girls, be proud for who you are and what you can do. Love yourself and dont be afraid to express your insights, perceptions and beliefs because you deserve to be heard and be understood. Never let your aura affect the cruel things that’s life been throwing you. When you fall and feel weak, stand up with all poise and show the world how a real woman recovers easily. When you’re being judged and pulled down, just move on with all your might and prove them wrong. Never show sign of weakness because we are always full of hope.

We are a genuine example of purity as a whole. We know how to love deeply and faithfully. We are a dedicated person wherever we may be. We can easily adapt and adjust in any situation. Most of all, we deserve to be treated fairly, gently and respectfully. *

Women of the world, Wake up and bear in your hearts all these things I said. Live with it and apply it. You are a woman- independent, dignified and strong. And you deserve something better.
