Gone are the days when crime was not so common. Gone are the days when we used to freely roam about the streets at every time of day and night, with family or friends or alone. Gone are the days when crime shows were only parts of news channels. As the days are passing crime is increasing and increasing and increasing.
Crime shows were once only aired on news channels like Star News(Sansani) and Aaj tak( Vardaat). But now, its not only the news channels but also the mainstream entertainment channels that are bringing real-life crime incidents to the fore. Shows like'Gumrah' on V Channel, 'Sawdhaan India' on Life OK and'Crime Patrol Dastak' on Sony TV, are trying to make people aware of what really is the cause of the increasing number of crimes! Among these three shows, I have been watching Crime Patrol Dastak more often.
Crime Patrol Dastak is a show which brings up real-life crime incidents, which are enacted by a few actors. The show tries to replicate the exact way in which the crime has taken place. Although sometimes the Crime Patrol Dastak team is unable to reveal the real names of people who are a part of the crime, that is sometimes the names of the criminals and the locations of the crimes are changed, for reasons, unknown.
The show also highlights the tremendous efforts put in by the Indian Police Force. They show us how the police force puts in their best to crack all the crimes and give justice to the victims.
The show is hosted by Anoop Soni, who is a fantastic actor, and is doing an immensely fantastic job in this show. The way he narrots and sums up the entire incident is outstanding. Hats off to this man, doing a real great job!
Apart from showing how the incident took place there is always an message interwoven by the strory. There are many things that we learn from the show, they are
-the show always tells it viewers how we can prevent a crime from happening, if and only if we can find out the early symptoms( dastak) of it.
-our family is the only shelter for us they are the people who always stand through our thins and thicks.
-the show also tells that in most of the cases the criminals are the people who are very close to us like our uncles, aunts, cousins or even our friends.
-the show also teaches us that we should not be quite when we see a crime being committed, no matter who the victim is!
- we should always be alert about what is going around in our surrounding.
-when incidents where young children commit crimes are shown, it alerts parents to give a good and healthy upbringing to their kids.
The show definitely narrates all this very well.
I have been watching this show since along time, I don't understand why people get carried away so much by their anger that they are only satisfied by killing a person! I don't understand that why they don't realise that the girl/boy or man/woman they are harming/killing is someone's sister/brother or mother/father or daughter/son. Why don't they realize that they themselves have a family, and what will be their situation if the same thing happens to their family member!
"No person is born a criminal, its the circumstances that make them one." I find this quote the biggest excuse of all the criminals. I mean get alive people, if you have so much of brains to plan a strategy of killing/harming someone, might as well use it to get out of that "circumstance".
