There's loads of excitement building up in the atmosphere. Gleeful cries, Joyous shouts and happiness has been spread all around!
It feels great to be a part of this celebration...a part of this historic event!
After months of wait, preparations and impatience...we finally create history! We (India) win against Pakistan on Pakistani soil...again (after the O.D.I Series)!
The Indian cricket team, Team India, begin celebrations right then and there on the cricket ground itself as Sourav ends the match with Danish Kaneria's wicket!
India win the match by the wide margin of and innings and a 100+ runs!
Rahul Dravid (270), Skipper Sourav Ganguly (77) and V.V.S. Laxman play the most significant role in bringing India's score to 600. They are definitely the star batsmen of that Final decisive match.
Amongst the bowlers, Irfan Pathan, L. Balaji, Asish Nehra and Anil Kumble play the leading roles not to forget Sachin Tendulkar grabbing the last wicket!
The Indian Cricket team, fondly known as 'Team India' prove their superiority by their wonderful perfomance. Although they weren't shining on the field on the last day...the bowler's efforts paid off as India managed to grab their victory even after dropping as many as 6 catches!
Rahul Dravid gets the man of the match award and Kumble is the highest wicket taker as Sehwag gets the man of the series award with India winning the series 2-1.
Indian Captain Sourav Ganguly becomes India's most successful captain with 15 wins in test cricket surpassing Azharuddin's record of 14 wins while Pakistani Captain Inzamam-ul-haq is left pondering the fact that he is the only Pakistani Captain until now who allowed the Indian Team a series win on the Pakistani soil.
Altogether it was an extremely exciting series and I'm sure you'll agree with me that the better team Won!
