IPL is a spectacular cricketing tournament in the world . IPL made t20more populer , than before now an idea has emerged that is yes , club cricket can gain importance like nfl , nba , epl & other popular sporting events .
In Indian subcontinent cricket is not just a game rather , we know it's treated as a religion .It is also clear to the cricket world that , Indian cricket board is the richest cricket board in the world.
But unfortunately , bcci(the governing body of Indian cricket) never taken any fruitful initiative to promote the gentle man's game to the rest of the world where cricket is not played .
In 2008 IPL was introduced , last year they never thought about the security measures , that's why the event went to south Africa. I am a big fan of cricket , i lost the chance to support my home team as a local supporter. It happened due to the failure of the management of IPL. If-they don't provide the security of cricketers in the time of election , that's mean they never made a feasibility study for this year's event .
All I can say , the organizers can give excuses.One philosopher said before , that " looser has always excuses "I will not surprise , if they claim in next year that due to the problem of weather , we are shifting this event to uk in 2010 .Problems starts from the foreign cricketers , they take every facility from Indian cricket board in return they provide nothing .
Being a fan of cricket , it's very painful for me ..I hope one day will come when cricket will breake the boundaries of many barriers .Now a days only 10 countries have full cricket playing status hopefully it should be increased in future .
Icc has taken some initiative to reach cricket in Europe , usa , Canada , greater africa , greater asia .I will be the most happiest person of the earth if cricket gets recognition in those zones .One more shocking news is john buchanon did the same thing , which was performed by greg chappel .
