ICICI bank kills one person for defaulting Rs15000
Jun 23, 2007 07:13 PM 1449 Views

ICICI bank takes toll by killing a person for allegedly defaulting a payment of Rs 15000/-. Yadaiah an employee of District medical and health services has to pay an amount of Rs 15000/- towards credit card bill. ICICI though its goons from Allied financial services went to Yadaiah's house and took his photograph to identify him.

They caught hold of him and took him to the branch of ICICI at Ameerpet and beat him up and called his wife to handover Rs10000/- to their goon or else they would not leave her husband. She asked them to give the phone to her husband who in turn said that he is held captive and that the bank authorities would not leave him until and unless they receive the payment of Rs 10000/-. When the family members went to ICICI branch at Ameerpet, Yadaiah was lying on the pavement in unconscious state on taking him to the hospital, he was proclaimed brought dead.

Incidentally, HDFC has a similar setup at Secunderabad. Unlike the defaulters, these people target the applicants. If a person applies for a loan with false documents, the goons of HDFC call the person and threatens the person to pay legal charges ranging from Rs 5000/- to any extent failing which they warn that the person would be handed over to police.

This is not restricted to ICICI and HDFC alone. Almost all the banks in India resort to such illegal practices and the RBI as always doesnt have a concern for common people. What is happening to the so called Human rights commision which spends millions of tax payers money on its exchequer? Is it sleeping? will it ever wake up?

This attitude of the regulatory bodies adds disgrace to them. They shopuld feel ashamed of the happenings. We should quit using the services of such unprofessional banks who use illegal means of recovering money.
