Pretty solid 2.1 sound quality for the price

This won't blow your mind away. But what it offers is great sounds in a compact & affordable package. The overall footprint is small making it easier to discreetly hide these behind objects in the room. Makes people wonder where is the sound coming from? Although - the cables are not that long so you need to use it smartly.

The Sub produces clean lows but it would be unfair to expect ground shaking bass. It adds enough color to the music & keeps things interesting. The sub will thump away in the background to make it sound a lot more expensive than these speakers are. I used it alongside my F&D F-203G which is also a 2.1 & is are prices lower than creative. Those get louder than these but I can say for sure - the A120 sounds way more clear & clean. The sounds from the inexpensive F&D is not bad for the price, its just that the A120 delivers higher quality music & notes are heard far more distinctly while on the F&D, it gets overshadowed as the volume increases.

In reality - I enjoy the listening experience offered by the A120 over the F203G any day.

The good:

  • Small footprint, takes less space & can be hidden easily

  • Sounds exceptional for the price. I paid around Rs.1450/-. I know some people have also got these for lesser during sale events

  • Simple Plug-n-Play design without the hassle of buttons, remotes & knobs

  • Just one small green LED indicator on the SUB. Since the Sub is kept on the floor, the light never gets in the way

  • The wired remote with Volume rocker is convenient. Thankfully does not have a LED on that.

The Bad:

  • No sub control knob. So bass is preset and it remains at that level all the time. The F203G comes with a bass knob which comes handy

  • The volume control is pretty traditional & I suspect it may not work after a year of extensive usage. Its one of those round tuner knobs which used to come on old radiosets

  • The power switch is behind the sub. Strange and annoying. Would have been better if it was on the remote itself.

  • It does not get very loud. Well much less loud compared to F203G. But honestly, at those volumes, sound distorts on F203G.

Wishlist(I wish it had these.):

  • FM Radio or a USB port for thumb drives

  • Longer cables

I'm happy with these - and it is adequate for an average sized room. May not suffice for a larger living room though. Music is clear & bass is enough to not sounds overwhelming.

If you have a tv which sounds tiny then you can easily use these to spice up the sound output. Besides it being used as a PC speaker traditionally. As long as it has a 3.5mm audio output jack.
