Although I have not spent much time in Mumbai city and didn’t get much time to see places in and around the city, but one place which I regularly visit is Courtyard which is in Andheri (W).
It was month of November ‘05 and we were looking for a place to arrange a dinner for one of our guests, which is when we came across Courtyard. It was a group of 50 and we needed a reasonably good place for dinner/drinks. The place provided the right kind of environment and the party went well.
That day and today, courtyard has become a weekly affair for many of us. To mention something about the place, the best part is the friendly atmosphere there. Although one may find it difficult to reach the place, but once you are inside, it is a good experience. Whatever drinks/snacks/food I have tried there are definitely up to the best of standards. The place provides a very good ambience for a party or a family weekend meal.
The staff is very good and prompt. The place has a special arrangement for parties; there are additional rooms for groups who may be looking for a separate place. Music options is not available for the common dining area but you can get your choice of music in the separate partying area.
Reservations normally not required for a smaller group, but if it is a weekend or a bigger group is there, you need to book in advance. Once you have a reservation, no hassles. Weekend, you may have to wait a bit since the place will be crowded.
It may be slightly higher on the budget side but certainly value for money.
