Credit Card Fraud Danger at Century Cottons Noida. Review on Cottons by Century

Some months ago I bought a pair of trousers from Century Cottons in Noida. I paid through my Credit Card. The Employee at the counter was noting down my Credit card and CVV number in his computer (with which any purchase can be made on my name easily). I immediately stopped him and cancelled the transaction and paid by cash.

I have bought a lot of material using my credit card but nobody has ever tried to note down my Credit card and CVV number. If somebody does that he can buy anything by your name and your card will be charged. I was alarmed so I contacted the Century head office and wrote them the following Email (Only parts are made available due to word-limit):

Here's what happened at YOUR store.

-- I gave your sales rep (at the checkout counter) my Credit Card.

-- He swiped it.

-- He started to note down my Credit card number on his computer, and turned the card round for the CVV number.

-- I stopped him and asked him Whether he was noting down my card number.

-- He said Yes.

-- I asked him Why? and told him that I don't want my credit card number noted down and that I will pay by cash if that is a condition to pay by credit card.

-- He told me that he would void the Credit Card transaction and that 'I have many credit card numbers in the system. This is the way the software is built.'

-- I went around the counter and noticed that his monitor interface had no software entry screen. He had what I think was MS Access open and was entering the CC Num in the Tabular View.

Here's my feedback on this

-- I feel INSECURE about shopping at your store now.

-- The person said he had 'MANY (Bahut saare)' Credit numbers in the database. So I am worried about all the other customers who are at risk.

Please Note:The person at YOUR store almost took down my CC number/details, and I don't see how that can be done with an honorable intent.
