Coorg travel tips..
Iternary: {Followed this for two of my three visits to Kodagu}
Day 1: (Starts in midnight)
1) Leave at 1:00 Night
2) Reach Nagarhole sanctuary at 6:00 and travel through the forest
3) Take Jungle safari for other views.
4) Leave to Irpu falls. Nice beautiful falls J
5) Head to Madikeri .. Can have lunch in Virajpet (on the way)
6) Visit – Raja Seat, Omkareshwara temple and Fort.
7) Roam around the market street
Day 2:
1) Visit Bhagamandala (& Triveni Sangama) followed by Talacauvery. (First visit the temple before heading further to Talacauvery.)
2) Visit Abbey falls.
3) Head to Kushalnagar
4) Book rooms in Kanika international or Kaleghat.
5) Visit Tibetan Monastery and visit the complex in front of it.
6) Head back to hotel..hv dinner and sleep
Day 3:
1) Visit Dubare (Elephant sanctuary) : Packages starts from 8:45.. so be there early.
2) Head to Harangi dam and stroll around.
3) Visit Cauvery nisargadhama .. enjoy the water .. meet the deers.. .
4) Head back to Bangalore around 5 PM.

Madikeri Hotels (On budget travellers)
Hotel Mercara Inn (Value for money).
Hotel Chitra (225377; fax 225191), on the main street near the bus stand, has good, clean rooms with bath and hot water for Rs 350/450. It has a restaurant. Recommended. Note that this is different from the Chitra Lodge across the street.
Hotel Cauvery(225492; fax 225735), School Rd, near the private bus stand next to the cinema, has clean rooms with bath for Rs 300/500. It has hot water in the morning. The owner can arrange treks around the area, which should be arranged at least a week in advance.
