We visited Jungle Lodges - Dubare for two days in the first week end of Sep, 09. The elephants (ekadanta, ranjan and balaram), the guide (uday) and the attendants at the Jungle Lodges are incredibly great.
Places of Interest:
Janapada Loka Ruchi – A typical stop for good breakfast / lunch. You can also visit a Folk Exhibition next to this place. This place is next to Ramanagar, approx. 60 KMs from Bangalore.
Chennapattana – This town (it actually means – Beautiful Town) is famous for wood toys. There are good toys for kids and a price tag as less as Rs. 20.
Railway Crossing, soon after entering Hunsur By-Pass road: You can blindly buy the Sapotas/Chokoos here. They taste quite heavenly.
Kushalnagar: Place you can buy local honey; tastes heavenly. Ummmmm…..
Jungle Lodges – This series of lodges is support byKarnataka Forest Department. They are placed in Kabini, which for sure will beour next target. I recommend Jungle Lodges to you. It is amazing.
