We visited Coonoor from Ooty by toy train on 29th May. We were there for 6 hours out of which we spent 2 hours in Singara Tea Estate and 2.5 hours in SIMS park. We didi not see any other sites as we wanted to enjoy the serenity and relax.
Tea Garden is extremely good spot for nature lovers. You can easily relax there and wander in the tea bushes appreciating the valleys beyond and forth and drinking hot masala tea. You can also buy various types of tea packets here.
SIMS park is awesome! It is far more eye soothing compared to Ooty botanical garden. SO many flowers and lush greenery.
Coonoor is not as populated as Ooty and you can hire a cottage or Banglow for very lazy and cozy vacations. There are not much hotels as compared to Ooty.
OK for a 2 day stay. One can stay at Coonoor and still visit places like Ooty and Kotagiri.
