Reasonable price, but too much SPAM to customers. Review on Coolwinks

While I still don't have any issues with the product, it is their excessive spamming on my cellphone that has left me with a bitter taste. I had recently bought 2 sunglasses also from the website, and those were also good deals for the quality they have provided.

Believe it or not, Coolwinks sends minimum 3-6 SMS messages every day on my phone. Every day, they seem to credit some amount to my Coolwinks Wallet, and then remind me that Wallet balance will expire at the end of the day.

They are probably confused about the industry they are operating in. They must understand that people don't buy eyewear everyday! Even when costs are low and seller is splurging money giving discounts, people won't buy glasses or sunglasses on a daily basis. So, what is the point in sending 3-6 SMSes every day?

The worst part is that there is no OPT-OUT of these marketing SMSes. Other sellers provide some keyword or message facility to stop marketing SMS. However, the whole business model of Coolwinks is based on SPAMMING the customers, so they won't stop.

Old Review - based on Product and initial experience

I was looking for a second pair of glasses for my 11 year old daughter who started wearing glasses since November 2016.

I had earlier ordered one pair from another online store but found that the quality was far from satisfactory. The "premium frame" made of rubber wasn't able to last even 6 months and the "premium glasses"(for which I had paid a good amount of money) wasn't really worth the money I had paid for.

Around February 2017, I came across this website "Coolwinks.com" on facebook. When I visited the website, I found that they had a large selection of frames and glasses, all very reasonably priced. However, I hadn't heard from my close friends or family members about this website and their experience, so I stayed away.

However, by April 2017, it became clear that I had no choice but to order another pair of glasses for my daughter because her previous pair had become unusable. I decided to take a chance with Coolwinks. At that time, they were having a promotional sale with good discounts on Frames and glasses, so I ordered one pair at a very reasonable price of around Rs.600(believe me, it is almost impossible to get a decent pair of specs at this price).

I wasn't very hopeful with my order, so I only hoped that they would deliver a usable pair of glasses. A few days later, the glasses arrived, neatly packed and in really good condition. The glasses were slightly bigger than what I had anticipated(since in my previous experience with other website, the glasses turned out to be smaller than what they had shown on website).

My daughter found the new pair very appealing and also convenient. The glasses fitted her perfectly. Also, a sudden visit to Eye Hospital during that time revealed that the power in the glasses were perfect and there was no issue on that part(since that is one of the worries when we order online).

Its more than 2 months since she has been using these glasses and seems absolutely satisfied with her new glasses.  I feel, I had a very good experience with the website and will again try them when I order glasses for myself.

The only issue that I have(with Coolwinks and other online portal where I had ordered earlier) is that they don't provide good order tracking. While I got alerts about order processing and dispatch, there was no update in between.  I hope they take care of the tracking part because customers ordering online should be able to track at any point of time.
