Dear Friends,
I will give you a very honest feedback of Coolpad Note 3 lite after using it for around 4 months now.
Coolpad note 3 lite comes as a smaller version of Coolpad note 3 and has it's benefits and drawbacks as compared to other phones. Below are topics on which I will be focusing:
1. Style:
Coolpad comes with it's own UI called CoolUI and has made a good attempt to build it's own applications on top of Android. However, they are not as great as MiUi, as I love it's user experience more. Also MiUi have many more lovely themes and hence very attractive to the people giving important to UI.
The phone comes in with a very lightweight body and is very user friendly., specially the clear feature written to clear all the junk with one click and also the multi-tasking feature where you can open and work on different applications at one time.
The'C' button is really amazing and will help you to have many applications handy.
The phone unlocks with finger print and this is one of the best and my favorite feature of this smartphone.
2. Features
This smartphone is packed with many features and these come in a very economical price range. Some features and technical specifications are 3GB RAM which makes your mobile very comfortable to use, and you can install as many number of games and software as you desire.
Features wise, this phone comes with a Quad Core 1.3 GHz processor and has a decent 16GB of internal memory which makes you think twice before you consider buying an additional SD card. Resolution is 1280*720 which is very good for enjoying movies and games.
Backend Android version used is 5.1 which makes your life easy plus this phone will provide lot many applications which are written in CoolStore.
Camera is just great and you can take all sorts of pictures and videos. The quality is very good and highly recommended. Selfies are good as well.
Screen size of this mobile is 5 inches which gives a decent look and also it's easy to carry likewise.
But on the flipside, repeating myself, if you love the GUI, then you must consider Redmi 2, which is in competition to this mobile in the same range. Cool UI need to work more and provide additional features and applications to match and stay in the market.
Built-in applications wise, Coolpad Note 3 lite is lacking in photo and video viewers and they are of very low quality. Meaning, the sound quality is not that good when you play a recorded or downloaded music. Also very less facilities provided., but nothing to worry, Android market gives you a hell lot of applications which you can download for free.
From body perspective, I took a Tarkan Hard Rugged case for my Coolpad Note 3 lite mobile and it gives a good protection to the smartphone. It's stress tested already, as my kid threw my mobile 3 times on the ground from a height of 5 feet and nothing happened to it. So, thanks to Tarkan!
Also the mobile got wet in my jeans during rainy season a couple of times, but fortunately no damage to it. This doesn't mean that the mobile is water proof and you should use it in rain!
- Business Users
For Business Users and software engineers like me, I didn't face problem in the installation of business tools like Airwatch and Touchdown and they worked very well. There was no synching issues and it becomes very handy to me during meetings and reading mails. Also the Lync 2010 and Skype for Business works without any problem.
So, overall, a very good mobile to buy in the 7000 range with good features like 3 GB RAM and nice camera, but not good mobile for people who are looking for a fancy UI or apps.
