So, here I am with Coolpad Note 3. YES, it is not a Dazen and just Note 3. This phone has already created buzz among users with its high-end features and aggressive price point. It went out of stock within second in the first Flash Sale but as always I successfully ordered the device and received it after 3 days. Thanks to Amazon, for fast service.
Now let me get started with the real review. I will first start with -
Design:
On the front you'll get a 5.5" 720p HD Display and below which there are touch capacitive buttons which do not make any sense. I would have loved it more if there was on screen buttons. Anyway, form factor of the device is pretty cool and it feel good while holding in hand. Power button has been placed on the right side and Volume rockers are on the left. Up above you will find 3.5 mm earphone jack and below is noise cancellation and charging port. Coming to the back, there is speaker bar, Coolpad branding, 13MP Camera and a FINGERPRINT Scanner. YES, it is there at such a low price.
Hardware and Software:
Coolpad Note 3 runs in Octa-core CPU at a processor speed of 1.3 GHz. It houses 3GB Ram and 16GB inbuilt storage. It also supports external memory card. OTG is supported. Coolpad runs on its own custom UI based on Android 5.1.1. Like every Chinese UI, there is no menu drawer in this phone too. Touch response and viewing angles are pretty good. Notification(LED) Light is present and can be changed in Red, Blue or Green. It is Dual Sim phone with 4G.
Performance:
Talking about performance, it will easily handle day to day task. I hardly noticed any lag and performance was lag-free. Multiprocessing was not an issue. I played Asphalt 8 on high quality and encountered minor lags, but the game was playable. It will support many high-end games too. Antutu Benchmark Score which I received was about 38600 which is pretty cool for this price range. The device tends to heat a bit while continues usage.
Camera:
As I mentioned before, It has 13MP rear camera with flash and a 5MP camera is on the front. Camera quality is above average. There are many modes available in the camera app.
Battery:
Coolpad Note 3 is loaded with a massive 3000 Mah Battery which will easily last for one day since the display is not 1080p. If you are a heavy user expect about 6-7 hrs of continuous usage.
Verdict:
Coolpad Note 3 is indeed one awesome phone with a low price. There is no device below 10k which provides Fingerprint scanner and 3GB ram at this price.
