Title: Be bold to change

Review: Petrol is damn expensive in India. If you are rolling in money then you could c*ck a snook at LPG driven cars. But if you r an ordinary mortal as I am then LPG cars r for you. Any thing new in India will find hardly any takers because our attitudinal indecisiveness. As one driving a car fitted with Lovato kit for the last 6 years, I recommend it for use to all of you. Get the kit fitted by a competent engineer. There are plenty of such guys in India who do it well. Use genuine kits.

The advantages are numerous. You save money as a 17 KG cylinder gives you on an average about 430 kms in a Maruti Omni. A Maruti 800 could clock more. You are contributing to a cleaner environment. Drive alternately on LPG and Petrol. Use a cylinder of LPG and then drive about 50 kms on petrol and then again on LPG and so on. As for safety and danger aspects are concerned, well petrol is as flammable as LPG. Whenever you use any fossil fuel, it is better to err on the side of caution. Proper maintenance and looking for wear and tear of tubes as in the case of purely petrol driven cars is good and will help to contribute to your peace of mind.

If you have a factory fitted cylinder and LPG filling stations in your town it is good. Of course if you don't have one as in the case of my car and my town, a plain private 17 KG cylinder will do. Gas leaks can be detected by your nose, which is the best and cheapest gauge available. So go ahead and convert. BE BOLD. It is good for the environment, your country's resources and of course easier on your purse.

Pros: Plenty

Cons: None except a negative way of thinking
