Need to start your career and get a decent salary? One can always join the BPO Sector. But if you are someone who wants to make a career out of BPO’s then this is the place to start with.
The salary of this company isn’t that great. But for a complete fresher this is what they can join for a better grooming. The company has one client right now Optus – but have multiple line of business LOB with Optus.
After a disaster in my family I had taken a quite a long gap in my career. It was very difficult to get through any organization on the same position. Eventually, I came to know about Convergys through a recruiter who promised me the next day joining, if I get selected. The interview rounds are quite flexible. People working there are very friendly. However, my post interview rounds – documentation and Online Tests were quite prolonged for no good reason. I would still give it a benefit of doubt as there was massive recruiting going on.
Good Aspects:
Company provides home pickup and drop in monsoon, no matter what shift you are doing.
In monsoon, employees are allowed to wear casuals on weekdays too.
Cafeteria has some real good options.
Selects people with low communication skills. In my training I had people who were not so good in communication but were selected and groomed.
Bad Aspects:
Transport if not scheduled, it depends on availability of cabs and they are never available for my destination(Mira road)
Monotonous food items in cafeteria
Though the management is quite helpful but very demanding. Even a genuine leave request is investigated in depth.
I would recommend the company to my friends and family who would want to start their career and make it in BPO sector. Also I would recommend it to people who want to join an organization to grow. As the crowd is not so good of the company(English speaking crowd) the ability to grow is a lot in this organization.
I recollect an incident from my training days –
I was giving a free speech test and I got a feedback from my trainer which was very helpful. I also remember one of my trainers had told me the funda of growing in this organization - Which was nothing but keep doing work and keeping attendance in place.
To all the college pass outs and freshers – join this company.
