Spent my Valentine's Day with my wife in this resort and had a very bad experience. The Cost of the package for candle light dinner, stay and breakfast in Villa Chalet was 10K.
Before booking had inquired about drinks and check-in time, they said they will be serving liquor and check in is at 12 noon. So I booked 3 weeks in advance. Unfortunately due to Bangalore traffic we reached the resort at 3 PM. The receptionists said they are arranging the rooms as I would see another 3 couples were waiting for the same. After an Hour went by waiting for the same, when we checked with them, they said they are still cleaning the rooms.
Then some guys came in, checked with the receptionist and got 4 rooms and they check in before us, they made a call to some guy and the receptionist gave them the keys. We came to know that they had only booked a week before. When we complained the same to the manager about they receiving the room before us, he had no answer. If they only want to serve politicians and people of interest, why have they opened it for public and why do they have booking options.
We had to wait for another hour and it was 6 PM by the time we checked in. Even then the rooms were not cleaned properly. Bathroom was dirty and was as it was how the previous guest had left with used soap, shampoo, hair all over the floor. Then came the candlelight dinner, the food was pathetic, dry and not much options. Drinks were chargeable and in the itinerary they had said there will be Disco which started after we had dinner, so was not able to go there.
Utter waste of money.
