I want to share my bad experience with you all people owning Compaq notebooks or planning to buy soon.I purchased a Compaq Pressario V 3225 AU notebook with Windows Vista HOme basic , 80 GB Hard disk , 512 MB ram , in july last year . The laptop since the first time boot itself had a serious defect on its display panel/screen. It was a DOA case (Dead on arrival) case and I got the whole notebook replaced after repeated arguments with the service center people . I got the new notebook and to my surprise the second notebook too had same fault that the first notebbok had but I did not take a DOa for it too as I was v busy with my job and I decided to get the screen only replaced after sometime and not the whole notebook.


Now , in May 08 , one bad morning the mother board failed to start and laptop was not even booting. I rushed to the service center and I had to leave my laptop for 3 days after which a new motherboard was replaced and screen too was replaced . I came home and it was again shocking scene for me . I was using my laptop in dark room and to my surprise I saw serious defects with the new screen too which I was unable to see in the service center as there was enough light and the very next morning, the new motherboard too failed to work. The laptop back to square one. I rushed to service center again .......(Hats off to service centre people for their insensitivity towards customer problems). I was asked to leave laptop for 3 days . I went on 4th day to take the delivery and I was shocked to understand by One idiot engineer there that Parts are not available. I blasted the engineer there and directly called to service delivery manager of Karnataka whom I was able to contact after making around 50-60 calls tp HP tech support. He promised to get everything done by evening of the same day. I got my laptop by evening. It was fine for some days after which I got the shock again which didnt disturb me much as I was expecting it really. BACK TO SQUARE . I was transferred to Delhi in my job and now the whole story shifted to Delhi. I caleed the Tech Support daily of Delhi.


After 2 weeks I got response that official who is dealing with the case is on leave. Finally abusing the HP idiots at call center , I caught hold of a senior person who directed my case to District Manager , North. I spent discussing the case with that official along with a veru rude and insensitive/irresponsible person called HARJINDER SINGH who directly refused to talk to me (IMAGINE HOW CAN A SERVICE MANAGER TO THAT TO CUSTOMERS UNDER WARRANTY). I reported this to District Manager and he felt sorry for it (EMOTIONAL DRAMA)!!!!.....NOw here the comes the ultimate scoop!!!!!!!


My laptop is COmpaq Presario , they changed the motherboard with HP pavilion. Its like putting Santro's engine in WagonR....What the Hell!!!!!!!!!!I continuously demanded for a new laptop which was very well deserved but these ppl didnt give!!Finally , As I dont have time , I accepted the laptop and till now performance is OK but still not perfect , Bt now I dont call HP...I will throw this Lappy by next year .


SO , friends that's the whole story .....U know what to do!!!!!!!!!!
