I bought cq40; one and half year before. Right from two moths from the purchase i got problem with the back up , did not last for 30 mins. I made several request to the dealer but no response. They suggested me to continue plugging in and they would forward this to compaq.
But no they did not. One day i met two guys who introduced me as executives from compaq ; i requested them about the issue , they assured me to get the battery replaced though the dealer here but finally they made me fool. Finally i dropped the lap top in dealers place in anger for three days to do something / get the battery replaced ; but on the 4th day i had to take back my laptop as they did not do any thing to comply my request. (unsatisfactory service by the dealer and executives).
It was on that day onward i did not visit that cunning dealer but kept quite and continued with that only when there in current ; could not take my laptop to other places ( what the laptop meant for) . I am a lawyer by profession, could take action but did not. I am research scholar too where there is extensive use of lap top , but was not a great trouble for me to work without it; was it a mental pain and agony for me , was want it that there is a huge monetary loss for not carrying the lap as it does not work?
Now in this scenario how can i recommend it to my friend? I think its the moral obligation for the compaq to understand me and my suffering and compensate me with a new battery to prove its ethical deal by stepping on to the feet of the customer to make them loyal. If it does so i shall be a proud one to be associated with compaq and in return prospects may get my reference ....................make it to reach the right place. Thanks.
