Role of Comments and their Importance. Review on Commenting on Reviews

Role of comments against a Review:

Lets start with the need or the role of comments against a review. The basic purpose of writing review in MS is not only to share our opinion with others on a particular product but also to give as much information as we can to others regarding the product. Once you post a review you wait for the genuine ratings and comments on your work.

An honest comment not only helps you in improving yourselves as a writer but also helps to see the reaction of other’s towards your thoughts and ideas. Man is a social animal so we should also take care that our thoughts and ideas are not, which are UN acceptable to the public at large.

Here I will divide my review in 3 parts covering the need, type and kind of writers and their comments.

IST PART-NEED OF COMMENTS

Need of comments may be seen from two perspectives-

TWO WAY COMMUNICATION:

Writing a review and getting a comment in the form of questions, acceptance or some more information completes the two way comminication.

If you do not get the comments than your review will be reduced as a single way of comunication.

Writer’s point of view:

After posting an article everyone dreams of getting maximum hits and a rating of “VU”. It really feels bad if your review goes unnoticed in MS. But a good rating accompanied by an honest comment always encourages the writer and helps him in improving his skills. As I said in my previous review that getting a “NU” accompanied by an honest comment is much better than getting a halfhearted “VU”.

When someone comments on your article you can judge that whether that person has actually read your review or not. Many of the readers just go through the first few lines of article and ends up in giving a “VU” without commenting about the review.

This is not encouragement as you are not at all helping the writer by telling him with what was missing in the review.

Reader’s point of view:

Another benefit of the comments is that sometimes-good readers end up giving detailed information about the product in the comments section. It helps the other readers to know more and to get full information not only from the writer’s point of view but also from the point of view of the others. So it makes a better sense and give a better view about the product.

IIND PART -TYPE OF COMMENTS

Types of comments:

Now here I will share my experience of the kind of comments that readers generally post…

1) “Nice review, keep writing cool review” accompanied by a “VU” rating

This is the most common comment that you will find from most of the readers.        Well my personal opinion about this comment is that the reader has not read           Your review or found it too boring. So instead of giving a “NU” he/she ends up with a “VU” and comments like nice review etc etc.

This rating and comment is not at all helpful. I believe either you read it thoroughly or just skip the review without giving any rating.

2) “Personal comments specially if the writer is a girl that too with beautiful face.”

Here you will find comments like:

“ You are really very beautiful, Can we be friends, your review is as good as you are, what you do.?Etc etc.”

This is a pity cause some of the readers use this platform to attract attention of the female writers and without actually appreciating and reading their reviews they simply comments about their beauty and send them M2M messages.

3) “Honest comments as to support the ratings assigned”

There are readers who really go thru the whole review and then comments on it justifying the rating assigned by them. Sometimes they get so much involved in the topic that they end up writing almost a review on this in the comments section. This is what every writer wants and this should be encouraged.

4) “Comments to take revenge or to disturb others”

These kinds of comments are generally posted by the writers to settle their personal differences and to disturb the writer.

Here either they use obscene language or pass sarcastic remarks.

This is the worst situation and to handle this is pretty difficult.

IIIRD PART-

Type of writers and comments on there review:

I have also experienced that star writers like Cousins2, Swarajmishra, psyxx, chand_tare etc etc gets honest comments for their reviews.

I think it’s a practice in Mouth shut to read the review of a star writer and also to post a comment to justify the ratings assigned.

While in case of NEW WRITERS or person making debuts there reviews either goes unnoticed or they will get short comments of the first category. There are hardly a few writers who encourage the new writers by reading thoroughly their review and letting them know the flaws in it.

Here I would like to end my review with a request for genuine and honest reading and comments on this.
