I have been to colva twice and both the times I have stayed at colva residency and believe me the view from each room is breathtaking, u can see the sea from every room, hear the sound of the waves crashing at night and feel the breeze.
The place is very clean, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, last time we went it had people likelourdina fernnandes, sweet smiling anjali naik who is a gem of a person, very helpful and co operative, rest of the staff is also very helpful, food provided is excellent at reasonable prices, though no night service( u have to eat at their timings ) otherwise u have to go out and find something else to eat, it was a bit of problem for someone like me who has a habit of drinking tea late at night!!
It is nicely located right on the beach, and good part is that tour buses operate from the complex itself which u can take for sight seeing south goa and north goa. All kinds of transport is available near the residency be it b autos, taxis or vans, even local buses have a stop there so if u wanna try some local flavour try takin a bus to the nearest town which is madgaon, the bus will take u thru the lanes and u can witness the small bars with all lights decked up , u can hire vans too, to go to nearest town which is madgaon quite a busy place, has the railway station, takes about 10 minutes from colva residency.
All in all colva is a great place to b in if u wanna enjoy the peace and tranquility, enjoy the moonlight walks. let the water touch your feet while u walk on beach eating chocolates or ice creams or whatever makes u happy!!!!!!!!!!! avoid booze at night or else u might step on some poor crab or worse you yourself might end up in the middle of ocean!!
So pack up your bags andd book your tickets in advance and give your body a well deserved break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
