Columbia Asia , the well known and might be the largest hospital in bangalore is much worse than a government hospital. Their whole focus is to squeeze the patients pocket and take their money for nothing.
About five months ago two of my room mates were suffering from dengue fever. I took them to the Sapthigiri Hospital which is a government hospital. They got admitted there for two nights and after two days when I saw their blood test result there were a very less increase of CBC than the first time. As Sapthigiri hospital is government hospital I thought it might had less facilities than private hospitals. I decided to take them to Columbia Asia hospital though the doctor promised me that they will get well and asked me to be patient. I could not wait I took them to Columbia Asia hospital. I saw the disaster situation from the time I entered the hospital. I standed in the queue to fill the registration form but the registrars were not considering the queue , Although it was my turn but same people came directly without standing in the queue , when I asked the reason the registrar said they were our special customers. Oh my gosh, I really went mad when I heard this.
By the way, when we went to visit the doctor , the doctor was behaving like a data entry worker. He just looked at the face of my friends, typed their name on computer and said go and get admitted , without doing any single and simple checking. I asked him why he did not do any check up and he said I know what I am doing , if you can do my job come and seat on my chair. He got very very rude.
So , they got admitted for 3 days and paid 80000 per person but their illness got even worse. No doctor and nurse were available to look after them , do their injection on time and take their blood sample for test.
So finally I took them back to Sapthigiri hospital.
Even being government hospital it was very helpful for my friends.
