Today(28/1/20) I went to Whitefield, Bangalore for the preventive health checkup. They handed me a list of all packages available. I chose the costliest one(6.5k) as I was getting it done for my parents. I must tell you they cover the least, what is covered by Sakara and Fortis. I just came here as this was near to my home.
In the end I found that the Uric acid results were missing in my father’s report, but were there in my mother's report. When enquired, they had no clue, and after one hour they came up with one of the world's most unbelievable reasons.
“ Sir, none of our packages cover uric acid tests. We are about to launch an 8.5K package in a month's time, and this was applied by mistake on your mother’s package, so it was applied as complementary.”
At the end, I paid 200 bucks extra to get the report, as they already had the sample. This is the first-ever hospital in India who doesn’t test for uric acid in their package. They think the customer is dumb money minting machine.
