My baby was diagnosed with grade 5 vur durinf pregnancy and was under treatment of paediatric surgeon and a paediatrician of columbia asia.
This condition required aggressive treatment when it is detected that she has fever with uti. My baby had fever on saturday. We went to paediatrician who gave initial treatment. But fever was still there on sunday and urine reports showed she had infection.
So we went again to columbia asia emergency section. The duty doctor tried calling the paediatric surgeon to check out the treatment. The surgeon told he is on leave and contact the paediatrician. There were no senior doctors to monitor the junior doctors. so juniour doctor again called the paediatrician who told some oral antibiotic. on monday even after taking the antibiotic baby was still unwell. again we took appointment and visited the paediatrician who told to wait for the urine culture report.
We felt something is wrong and hence took baby to manipal hospital. here after examination doctor clearly said that in this condition even if we do not have the urine culture report baby should have been put on iv antibiotic which should have been the first treatment from doctor side which clearly showed how negligent columbia asia doctors were. in manipal hospital on further tests they concluded that baby needed to be put under high antibiotic with 48 hrs obsrvation and 7 days of oral antibiotic. this has happened because of the wrong intial treatment from columbia asia doctors.
