My experience at Columbia Asia has been pathetic. I would advise the readers to exercise great caution and leave nothing to chance by keeping a close tab on the medical attention and engaging proactively to see mess up’s of the kind I encountered , do not occur. It is my view that the hospital has a mercenary approach and should be approached likewise.
My wife had a normal delivery last month at Columbia Asia. Post delivery, there were certain complications that did not receive the timely attention or proper intervention. I had a consultant doctor who participated in the labor and who disappeared soon afterwards.
Post delivery for about 4 hours, my wife went through a hell of pain, blood loss and severe swelling and inflammation for which there was no proper medical attention. The duty doctors present were clueless and were poorly equipped to handle this situation. This had resulted in an emergency operation and an otherwise unnecessary blood transfusion.
The inept handling and poor management compounded with extremely poor communication and inadequate manpower (in terms of nursing staff) has the potential of posing a great risk to the patient.
