I had recently visited the Columbia Asia hospital located at Hebbal, Bangalore. I have just one line to explain the experience there "Simply amazing". I was thrilled to see the cleanliness, courteousness and every aspect of managing a hospital. And all these at a very reasonable price.
But along with that I saw a minor issue related to integrity and I thought I should bring this to your notice, which otherwise could make a bad mark on such a wonderful institution.
While paying for the expenses at the cashier and also for the medicines at the pharmacy I have noticed that they are reluctant to give back the balance. For example if the medicines cost Rs. 128/- and you give 200 rupees the balance given is just Rs. 70 /- . For the remaining amount the person at the pharmacy did not even say anything and when I asked about it he said "I do not have change" with a wicked smile. It is not about the amount, but about the integrity in handling this.
The same happened at the cashier also. It was irritating for me to stand there and listen to this. Please advice them not to do this and make a bad impression on people. If it is a genuine case where they do not have change, request them to have a slip issued with the balance mentioned so that people can collect it any time.
