Colgate blue is Colgate Fresh Mint Liquid Gel toothpaste. This new gel will wake your mouth up! It is so minty and makes you feel like you just ate a peppermint patty!
Colgate Fresh Mint Gel comes in a nifty 4.6 ounce plastic bottle. The top is a flip up top that seals shut very tightly. The size makes it easy to travel with either in your purse or travel bag.
The directions are very simply. They even tell you on the bottle how to open it up! Go figure! Place thumb in ridge and open cap. For Adults and children and older brush teeth throughly. It is recommended that you brush after each meal or at least twice a day. We brush in the morning when we get up and before we go to bed. Sometimes your doctor may advise you to brush more often.
Now the amount you use is up to you but Colgate recommends that for children ages 2-6 use only a pea size amount. They also recommend that you supervise your child or children while they brush so they do not swallow the toothpaste. Now I don’t know about you but my kids have swallowed plenty of toothpaste over the years. It is not advisable in my opinion to put your fingers in your child’s mouth to stop them from swallowing the toothpaste. We just put a little at a time on the toothbrush. Besides, sometimes you end up with gobs of toothpaste in the sink and it is messy to clean up!
For children under 2 it is advisable to talk to your doctor. I began brushing my children’s teeth as soon as they began to come in. True most of the first few times it was mostly “chew on the toothbrush time” but that helped the kids get used to the feel of the plastic and bristles.
The active ingredient is Sodium Fluoride 0.15 % W/V Flouride. This is the main ingredient in most toothpaste designed to fight cavities. The inactive ingredients are Sorbitol, Water, Glycerin, Hydrated Silica, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, PEG-12, Flavor, Tetrasodium Pyrohosphate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Saccharim, Carrafeenen, FD&C Blue No. 1.
Colgate Fresh Mint Gel toothpaste is made by the Colgate-Palmolive Company. The company is located in New York, NY. A little interesting note on the bottle says that the toothpaste is made in the UK!
