Those who like to do a dog's job, can stay long years in CTS. Say Yes to Idiot SA or else suffer their Anger!
I personally have been working in CTS for more than 4 Years. more than that My first ever company to work after tedious study(school+college+engineering). I really liked my first day at MEPZ office. After that it was like roller coaster drive. Company has a very strong vision with time and market. But at end of the day what its employees get after working for them, that matters most!
Training: Training is being given by 3rd party vendors. Trainer who suppose to train PATs are from IT background and have experience around 3-4 Years. If you are joining CTS don't expect that according to your skill set you are going to get work or projects. Wherever they have project requirements they will deploy you. So pray to god that you should get project according to your skill set. I personally was a Dot net developer and had good knowledge in coding but I have been mapped to one of TESTING batch. Even I tried approaching Batch Mentor I didn't get any result. I was told there is no opening or so called requirement in desired skill sets. So I have been trained in Manual Testing and automation testing. Training session was planned or scheduled for 2 Months but due to urgent requirements our trainer had to deliver the batch in 1 month. Think its like baby in womb and due to demand it has to come out and perform in real time work. All nonsense. If really they wanted to have best skills then at-least they have to complete our training.
Project Deployment: CTS works for many of foreign clients. they have several domains. They manage whole thing with the help of verticals and horizontals. So here also u don't where you are going to work. You will get mail from mentor regarding the allocation for projects. for which u need to give interview to prove that you are capable of doing what they taught. Advice to new joinees will be to take time and search more about the project. for how many years this projects is been CTS. What is overall structure of current designated employees. Make sure you learn things as quickly as fast to get a good name and get billed from client for the work you are doing. My first project was one of US INS client. It was really tough to know all application system and get started with real work. Seniors were also not that friendly, I got scolding in bad word too on my initial days. Don't hear all these things. I was there in the project for 3 years. I got many awards and recognizations for the work I have done for them. Even I got my both promotions from that project. Thanks to Mr. Rajesh Rajendran who was a real guide and very open person. He was really helping me out in odd situations. True Guide. I have seen many managers, Senior managers who are good. Problem comes only inside project and because of some idiot senior ass*(ciates) who bring their ego and personal feeling in case of appraisal and promotions.
