Fraud. Review on Club Mahindra

Club Mahindra- sales executive – Rocky Patole and his manager Kunal (M)09923230006 at Baner office have cheated me. On 19 Aug 09, Rocky explained me about club mahindra membership. I liked the offer, but I wanted to think over before paying the money. He said offer is only for today. We’ll not be able to give you this offer tomorrow. So I proceeded and paid the money by credit card.

Later when I checked my finances. They looked stretched due to the additional EMI that needs to be paid for club mahindra membership. So I called Rocky on 22 Aug stating that due to financial constraints I want to cancel my membership. He was trying to convince me to continue but I wanted to cancel. I and my wife, we went to the Baner office for cancellation. There Rocky said we have another option for you.

You keep the membership, don’t cancel it now, we will refund you the money you have paid up till now by adding your name as referrer to 3 new members. Manager came with a form of Mr. Vivek Nadagouda and added my name as referrer. Rocky said before start of the next EMI, I will put stop instructions in the system. Your membership will then be kept on hold and after a year or so you can re-consider if you want to continue with the membership.

I called Rocky multiple times before the 10 day period on whether I should cancel or put the membership on hold as suggested by him. He said don’t worry, I am there, you will get your money back, plus next year if you want to continue, you will able to get it at the same price. I got only one email regarding referral of Mr. Vivek Nadagouda and did not get any email on other 2 members, so I called Rocky to inquire. He said don’t worry by September 30 you will get back your amount via referral program.

Towards September end I called him multiple times regarding non-receipt of money and stopping EMI in the system. He was avoiding my calls and giving me some excuse or the other. So I got worried and put request for stopping the EMI in the system. I got call from customer care stating that EMI deduction will happen this time. You should have informed before Oct 1st. I called up Rocky. He said he will do something but did not revert. I called him multiple times…he was not picking up his cell. Then he said he cannot stop the EMI .and he will pay it back to me from his pocket.

Then I inquired about referral amount still not being paid to me. He gave excuse of half year account closure etc and wait for few more days. After a few days I again inquired on the status of my money. He said only one person has become a member…the other two have cancelled the membership. He said he would pay back my money from his salary. On 15th Oct he was going to give me a check dated Nov 10, gave excuse of sisters engagement.
