Club Mahindra a rip off. Review on Club Mahindra

My clubmahindra id is 31641. I am a RED MEMBER (It is the most expensive ie. highest level of membership you are entitled to if you have children) I have taken membership in the year 2004 and it is valid till 2029. I have made the complete payment of the member ship fees. I have also paid the Annual subscription charges (ASF) for 42 days worth of holidays. Out of which I realized this year that I am only entitled to 21 days of holidays. It means that 35 days worth of holiday have gone down the drain due to Club Mahindras policy of on allowing you to accumulate 21 days worth of holidays. This means that if you pay the ASF for 3 years after paying the entire membership free you will have accumulated 21 days of holiday. Any ASF you pay after that is useless as that fee will be for lapse holidays! i.e. 7 days which you will not be able to use! Your total holiday days will continue to be 21 days. So in order to get the most for your money you have to holiday each year. In order to get that holiday you have to book at least 3-4 months in advance as there is no availability even if you book one month in advance.

This brings me to my situation. I have not paid the ASF for 3 year since I realized that I already had 21 days worth of holidays and any ASF I pay would not increase this number. As I have mentioned to you I had 21 days of holiday left. I threatened to cancel my membership only then was I given a booking in GOA.  from the 6th to the 12th of July. As I am a RED MEMBER and that is a WHITE PERIOD (A level lower to RED) so I was charged 3 days worth of Holiday.  This means that I have 18 days worth of holiday left. 18 days which I have already paid for.  When I inquired about making another reservation  for the year 2012 for a period of 1 day. I received an email saying that Rs. 36, 000/- is due as ASF only after you make that payment will you be entitled for a holiday.

This means that only after I pay 36, 000/- which because of Club Mahindras policy will be equal to 3 days in my case (18 days +3 additional days =21 days) . This would mean that I would be paying 36, 000/- for 3 days worth of holidays.

The only way I can make the most of my money is to use the 18 days I have already paid for and then pay the ASF but Club Mahindra refuses to let me utilize these 18 days!

I would suggest that if you have the money kindly keep it with you make a booking a week before you travel and stay at a hotel which is conveniently located within close proximity of your holiday location (Club Mahindra resorts are at lest 5 kms away from popular tourist destinations)  rather than pay Club Mahindra in advance and the be treated like this. If you still think I am lying realize that I am posting this on Christmas Eve image the frustration that I am feeling.
