I would like to warn everyone to stay away from Club Mahindra. They are very poor at customer service (Mahindras have never had a customer oriented culture). Their staff in the customer care centre at Andheri behave as if you are an irritant and are not at all interested in listening to you.
When I joined the club, they had promised me a lot of stuff, including a free color TV, which never showed up. They did not bother to collect the post dated cheques and their ECS for for some reason was never presented to my bank(or some other silly excuse they kept giving whenever someone bothered to pick up the phone). I had to chase them to take my monthly payments and even after that they managed to mess everything up. I spoke to them at least a 100 time to get their act together but none of them were bothered to respond. The worst part is that the whole approach seemed as if I was more of a pain than a customer. Finally after 6 months when I told them that I had not received the free TV promised by them, believe it or not I was told to pay Rs 17000 for it. !!! I was absolutely aghast and am now in the process to suing them. My lawyer said that they seem to be sued the most because of their horrible service. He has asked me to collect a few other customers who have been cheated similarly so that we can all get together and try to get a court order to stop them from advertising and "cheating" other people.
I am not interested in getting my money back as they have told me clearly that I wont be getting any refunds though they might have cheated me. My only motive is to get them to realise that customers are not headless chicken. I am striving to collect a few more aggrieved customers which does not seem too difficult as a lot of people have approached me already after I put up the notice on my blog). I request everyone to steer absolutely clear of these crooks.
