At Powai Shopping mall, I was asked to put my Mobile no. for Club Mahindra demo.Few days after, recd. call from R-Mall, Mulund Office, Mumbai for demo on Sunday 6 December 2009. Their Sales Manager, Imran Qureshi explained the details at length. Then he asked on our opinion and which credit card I use.He also said there is special scheme on certain HDFC Credit cards.
Since we were not clear about the benefits, we had reservation. He asked for my credit card to check what all benefits can be availed on my Credit card. I had lost my senses probably and gave him the card.To my horror, he had swiped the card in other cabin for Rs. 43277.00.
I was at my wits end on this audacity.I told him that it was not appropriate as he should have taken the consent before swiping. Though agitated, but I signed on slip.It was first of a kind experience to me. Then since he had unscrupulously done the transaction, I signed other documents in fit of foolishness. Throughout this entire thing, he never told me that there is free look period of Ten days for getting the refund.
On 8 Dec, I called up Imran asking him to cancel the membership.He promised to talk to his superior and revert by next day.
Then for Seven days I followed up but it was time buying tactic as anyway I was not aware about 10 days clause nor he had mentioned.After one week, he have no. of Jai Singh, their Vashi Office.
After lot of leaving message, Jai Singh called up and I explained the entire thing on 22 Dec.Jai Singh promised
to look into it and asked me to put mail explaining the entire events on their feedback mail id.
After lot of foolw up, Jai Singh calls on 8 Jan 2010 and express inability to refund as 10 days had passed.I protested that Imran Qureshi had not told about this.Moreover I was following for cancellation within two days.But Imran never even asked to put mail on their feedback id.
I also expressed amy feeilng of cheated but he expressed helplessness.
So on 9 Jan I put a final mail in disgust to Jai Singh, extract is put below-
Dear Mr. Jai Singh
As communicated by you on 8 January 2010 that there will be no refund
on 10% down payment since I have asked for Cancellation of Club
Mahindra Membership.
Though as a Customer, I feel cheated as your Marketing guy, Mr. Imran
Qureshi right from 8 Dec. maintained that there will be no refund and
never advised me to put my request for cancellation of membership in
writing on your feedback mail id.
Since now memebership has been cancelled by me and you have confirmed
this on phone, let me advise you to not do any ECS for EMI.
In case it is being tried by Club Mahindra, it shall be unlawful.
So pls. advise your concerned team accordingly.
Lets hope that this is final correspondence between us.

This was harowing experience with Club Mahindra.
I could not get money and lost 43k without getting any service.
It was case of fooling customers and making money.
Till date, I could not get a single cent back onmembership 1630271 and in fact I hate to hear whenever any promotional call comes from Club Mahindra.
This experience I am sharing to stay away from Sales Man like Mr. Imran Qureshi who cheats customer so blatantly.Also Club Mahindra as organisationspoils name ofMahindra group.
I am writing this review so that others learn a lesson from mydisgusting experience.
Also if any of Mahindra Group Senior Official in boardseeing this response gets me fair treatment and get my due refund and set the Culture right to build their better image, safeguard customer.
