I had visited the Resort of Club Mahindra in Binsar and availed the services of the Mahindra travel desk. Yhe following things that came to my notice:
1)You pay a premium of of over 30% when booking through travel desk.
2)Do not be surprised if u are not provided with the car you are paying for.
3)Unlike the Mahindra staff the travel desk is out sourced and can expect that the driver in case of a hired vehicle will try and extort extra money from you.
4)The driver will stop at his fancy and time to eat and expect you to do the same as the restaurant pays commission to driver.
5)You might hire a cab for a full day and expect to later learn it was only for half a day.
6)Further the drivers promote their individual services wherein they direct you to contact them directly and not through Mahindra resorts as they would be a cheaper option.
7)Mahindra travel desk only accepts cash and does not issue proper invoices. so if you expect that you can pay cash for services availed through their travel desk . just forget it.
This realization dawned on me when dropped to the station i.e. Kathgodam. Though I had booked the cab for the full day for which I paid 3200/- wherein a drop is only 1400/- the travel desk cheated me only booking the cab for drop.
The driver left me at the station 2 hours prior to the train arrival time and left me at the lurch at the station. Frantic calls to Mr. Ranjeet Nayal - the travel desk manager at Binsar told he would revert and there has been no revert.
I paid a premium of 50% only to realize that a limited organization like Club Mahindra Hoildays does cheat its members by not issuing bills for travel desk services and only accepts cash even after charging an average premium of 30% .
I SINCERELY REQUEST ALL READING THIS REVIEW IS THAT DO NOT USE THE TRAVEL DESK OF MAHINDRA HOLIDAYS FOR THEY ARE NOT WORTH IT AND ARE CHEATERS TO THE CORE.
