Financial Fraud for its Customers ...PURPLE MEMBER

I have a very serious complain about a financial fraud that came across this afternoon by Club Mahindra.


I was sold a purple membership about 4 years ago and was categorically assured that all the club mahindra properties are exclusively for the use of their members. Based on the fancy presentation I readily agreed to invest 7 lakh rupees and the annual maintenance which when started was under 9 K and now has ballooned close to 13k p.a


So net effect my variable cost  of one purple night at club mahindra is leaving aside the original capital is(70K-80K interest pa+ 13K maintenance pa) which is way on the north of 12- 13k and not taking into account the capital invested which is written off. These holidays do not include any meals or transport.


I was well aware of these incidentals and was happy since these were exclusive vacations and only for members. So me and my family could have good quality time and hence such an investment made sense. Now here is the shocking and the most frustrating truth.


I was looking to make a reservation this may- June with my family and the night were not available since they were showing as fully booked. Agreed its summer vacation and completely understandable. HOWEVER THE TRUTH IS MEMBER NIGHTS ARE SOLD TO NON MEMBERS OPENLY AT 80% DISCOUNT. ATTACHED IS THE PROOF AND CLASSIC EXAMPLE -

YOU CAN BUY CLUB MAHINDRA NIGHTS IN PEAK SUMMER HOLIDAYS FOR UNDER 3K. ALL RESORTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR ONLY SALE WHEREAS THE MEMBER WEBSITE FOR MEMBER SHOWS THAT THE UNITS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. This is a complete shocker for a purple member like me. I have in very good faith paid a huge amount of my savings for an exclusive vacation. Only to realise that even non members can avail the facilities at a much lower cost.


I called up my sales consultant and regional manager in Mumbai to demand an explanation and they continue to tell me that nights are exclusively for Club Mahindra members which is clearly not the case. So club mahindra you make members to exclusively defraud them and not give them the entitlements. This is a very serious fraud and a breach of trust. I'm extremely disappointed by these findings.


For the past 2 weeks I have been trying to make a booking I have made over 20 request both via phone and emails not even once did I receive a call back or a response. No wonder why you made the 7 lakhs you wanted on the membership and now all you want is me to make my annual payments and not even enjoy my entitlements. your entire team is busy hunting for new customers and don't even care to respond on open complains. You have reached a state where you are selling inventories openly at prices where being a member also doesn't make sense.


I demand an explanation and also need a complete refund with the interest for the past 4 years. This is a very serious fraud and is completely intolerable. I shall make sure that every member is aware of this malpractice. Even if it means that I have meet Mr Mahindra personally I shall do so!
