This is an attempt to make a completely unbaised opinion about the service provided by club mahindra. Im a very new member with Club mahindra and have enrolled for the studio white plan in feb 09.


How I became a member is an intresting story.It was my parents 32 anniversary and I had made plans with the entire family to goto Goa hence I booked the Ramada Caravela 2 rooms for 4 nights.


During research since jan I did approach club mahindra as well they contacted me in feb end just 10 days prior to my travel. Now this sales guy Arindham Ghosh called me up atleast 20 times trying to sell me the membership at club mahindra.I told him I have already made the booking so he says if I cancel the same he can offer me an oppourtunity for a life time.He mentioned that this is the anniversary offer from Club mahindra and u get free bees worth the enrollment just at the time you join in.


Convinced with this I cancelled the Ramada booking and there by losing the token amount that I paid to Ramada.Still I was happy thinking that I have got a good deal with Club mahindra.But the real trouble started after that. Post this sales guy who came to my residence and swiped the card.He completely forgot all the promises he had made. I was then left to the mercy of the chennai call centre , which was of no use since I was a new member and my details were not generated.after making over 100 calls I got hold of the corporate office in Andheri and they attended my problems only after making several calls.


Finally they managed to make the confirmed booking for me just hours before my time for travel. Now the real fun started once I reached goa. I had booked a private car before I left from mumbai and had given an Advance of 4k to the driver at the Madgaon station. Once I reachd the resort the local taxi union drove my driver away and asked him not to come back again.when complained to the floor manager I was told tht they have a union problem and I have to live with it.


So I lost my booking amount of the taxi there and the union outside the resort would charge you 1600 rs for 8 hrs and 80 kms and 16 rs/km thereafter + night charges post 6or8 pm not sure... which is a ridiculous amount !!! Now I get in the resort ..one of the rooms are given to me and the second room is not ready till 4 pm. On the 1st march I had requested for an anniversary cake for my parents ... shockingly it gets delivered on the 3rd march. The sales guy before I travelled told me cost of meals would be 475+taxes ... the reosrt charged me 590+ taxes also they charged luxury tax of 75 per night.


To which I got a call from the team in chennai and the lady I spoke to was Jaishree. She was quiet helpful and did attend to the problem promptly and got Arindham on conf call as well. When confromted the sales guy on the false commitments he made he had no response other than an apology. IM STILL AWATING UPDATES/CLARIFICATION ON MY ENROLLMENT BENEFITS SINCE I THINK THE SALES GUY HAS FOOLED ME BY SELLING THE PRODUCT WIHTOUT ACTUALLY PROVIDING THE BENEFITS.


To this experience I requested the call centre to send me the cancellation form for the membership however im still awaiting a feedback. I would rate my experience pretty avg.. contrary to the commitments made by the sales guy it was a very poor service. In a nutshell I think club mahindra have too many members than they could service. I just hope they respond back to my problems and get my cancellation done ASAP or rectify these damages and I shall continue to be a member.
