This is an email I sent to Club Mahindra today. They have debited money through ECS inspite of us foreclosing the account through cheques. What more to say?
Hi:
To top our earlier emails about how mis-managed the CMR membership is and how many problems we faced in just getting a proper answer to foreclose our membership - we were given a shock when we received an sms from our ICICI Bank confirming debit of Rs. 3801 as ECS to CMR.
This is not acceptable!
We have already paid the entire amount as PDCs for the month of May, June & July, foreclosing our membership. After repeated follow-up with Mr. Jamir of CMR, Pune, we didn't get a statement confirming that our ECS has been cancelled. In the month of May, ECS was not debited and the cheque was cleared, since ECS was not debited in May we thought it's sorted out and the ICICI Bank has received instructions for cancellation of ECS. But on Saturday, 7th June, we were taken aback when again the ECS has been debited.
The whole of Saturday we spent trying to get an answer from CMR, Pune office, Mr. Dinesh. The surprising part is that - no one has information that we have foreclosed our membership, no one has our PDC details, no ECS cancellation been given to our Bank. Bank cannot confirm anything to us as they have to receive instructions from CMR.
The list of CMR goof-ups is endless!
Buying a CMR Membership is the biggest mistake of our lives!
We want this sorted out immediately or we would need to file a case in Consumer Court!
